19.2 - Allied Detachments

You may only ever take a single Allied detachment. All units in the Allied detachment must belong to the same codex as if it were a Primary Detachment. Allied detachments may not select a Rite of War but may select an Allegiance from their respective codex. Units in Allied Detachments may take upgrades from their respective codex. Allied Detachments may not include a Warlord. If a model in an Allied Detachment mandates that a selected model must be a Warlord, that unit is not eligible to be fielded as part of an Allied Detachment.
