3.2 - Summoned Units

Core Rules, p. 13

A unit added to your army once the battle is underway is called a summoned unit. A summoned unit will always specify the manner in which it arrives to the battle in the rule responsible for summoning it. Summoned units count as having made a Normal Movement for the purposes of determining if they have moved that round and may not move further than as allowed by its arrival method. A summoned unit automatically arrives via Outflank without needing to roll and is always considered as having rolled a Minor Deviation when arriving via Deep Strike. Summoned units may arrive during your first turn Movement Phase. Summoned units do not count for Victory Points in scenarios unless specifically stated. Summoned units do not have any wargear options beyond the base loadout noted on their data sheet. Summoned units added to your army are conferred your army Keywords and may gain your army Allegiance if eligible.
