12.3.4 - Immobilised Vehicle and Engagement

For the purposes of remaining engaged, if a unit is within 3" of an immobilised vehicle, Knight or Fortification type unit, they may opt to not remain in combat with it even if the combat was a tie and may freely perform a Normal Move or Advance Move in their next Movement Phase away from the immobile model without having to make a Retreat move (see 6.2).
