7.3 - Terrain
When you move a model, you can trace the path of its move over terrain features but not through them. When you move the model, it follows a path along the surfaces of the terrain features, but its base is assumed to remain parallel to the surface of the battlefield as it does so. In this manner, models can climb walls and ruins, but cannot end their movement unless the model's base fits wholly in a stable manner. For example, a large model on a 60mm cannot fit on the 40mm wide ledge on the second story of the ruin, and so cannot move there. Terrain can be given one or more classifications explained below: Breachable (7.3.2), Difficult (7.3.3), Dangerous (7.3.4), Impassable (7.3.6). During Set up when building your Battlefield, you and your opponent should declare what each type of terrain piece's classification is. All other terrain or area of the table which is not given an agreed classification is Open Terrain and has no effects and may be moved across freely. Some special rules may alter a piece of Terrain's classification throughout the course of a battle.
