6.1.2 - Embarking and Disembarking

Core Rules, p. 15

As part of a normal move, a unit that is embarked inside another unit with the Transport Keyword may Disembark from the model a distance equal or less than their Movement (M) characteristic in inches measuring the distance they can travel from the unit they are disembarking from.

A unit may not Disembark if the Transport Advances, but units may disembark at any point in the movement phase if the Transport only made a Normal Move or remained stationary. If the Transport made a Normal Move, the unit embarked may only Disembark if the Transport moved less than half of its Movement (M) characteristic or Minimum Movement (M) characteristic.

A unit that ends a Normal Move wholly within 3" of a Transport model may Embark. Remove the unit from play while it is inside the transport (see 1.2.2). A unit cannot Embark the turn it Disembarks from a Transport and vice versa. If all the models from a unit are not within 3" when embarking, the unit may not Embark at all. Transports may not carry other units with the Transport keyword. The type of models a Transport can carry is listed under its transport rule.

For Transports with the Fly special rule, measure to the hull of the model. If the Transport is an Aircraft type unit measured from the model base (unless it is Hovering).
