The Favoured method of assault for many space marine forces. Descending from on high, their Drop Pods crash through orbit into the heart of the enemy disgorging the avenging warriors of the Astartes to strike down the enemies of the emperor with sudden ferocity that cripples a foe with but a single strike.

Requirements

  • All units in this force must begin deployment in a Drop Pod Dedicated Transports unless they have the Deep Strike or Infiltrate special rule.
  • Your army may not include Vehicles type units with the Fire Support or Close Support keywords.
  • Your army must include more Infantry units with the Battle Line and Close Support Keyword than the Fire Support Keyword.

Benefits

  • You may place more than 50% of your army in reserves.
  • You may field Assault Marines as Troops choices instead of Fast Attack choices.
  • Drop Pod units in your army may always set to Overwatch.
