Legio Titanica Elite Maniple

Nothing in the galaxy is more feared and more iconic than the Imperium's Titan Legions. The Legio Titanica are a subsect of the Mechanicus who care, preserve and watch over the Titan Legions. The Titans are the ultimate expression of the Omnissiah's might and they are guarded with extreme zealously. Many believe that the Titans themselves are the personification of the Omnissiah. As the Mechanicus maintain and deploy these Titan Legions, they also form an elite force known as the Titan Guard to protect them. These are the most Elite Skitarii troops a Forge World can field and to be admitted to the Titan Guard is the highest honour a Skitarii can ever hope to achieve. These elite forces serve as screens to protect Titans from smaller ground forces and borders, ensuring that the machines can do their work. Some large scale Titans house entire or even dozens of Maniples of elite Titan Guard which they deploy to fight alongside the mechanical monsters. It is not only the Titan Guards sworn duty to protect the Titans of their Legio but secure vital ground and fulfil whatever tasks is required of them for greater battle by the Legio's commanding Princeps.
