Codex: Sisters of Battle, p. 22

The Redeemer Cohort are a collection of souls whom have lost the light of faith and for whom redemption is the only way forward back into the embrace of the Emperor's light. Such redemption is earned through, blood, death and battle. A collection of Repentia, Penitent Engines and Mortifiers are herded into battle, to charge down the enemy lines under the watchful gaze of Mistress Repentia into glorious death as suicide forces to break the heretics through sheer will and bodies.
