The Salamanders adhere to the culture of the Promethean cult founded and implemented by their lost Primarch Vulkan. The nature of fire and the ways of the cult have seeped into all elements of the Chapter. When the Salamanders rally to war, they do so with a vast array of flame bound weapons that immolates enemies but even greater and more miraculous is the practised temperament they use to walk calmly through the inferno of their foes to deliver the Emperor's justice.

Restrictions

  • Your army must include a Space Marine Captain with the Forge Father upgrade.
  • Units in your army may not Deep Strike unless it is via a Drop Pod.
  • You may not include any Fortification type units in your army unless it is a Drop Pod.

Benefits

  • You may field Gravis Support Squads as Elites choices.
  • You may field Weapon Support Squads as Troops choices, but they gain the Support Squad special rule.
  • Salamanders' units in your army with the Veteran Keyword gain the Sanctified by Fire special rule (see Special rules Appendix).
