Void Clash
"On rare occasions, as battles unfold in the depths of space, sometimes battles take place even upon the surface of the great star faring vessels. Whether they be mighty starships or space stations, battles upon the very surface of a ship is a dangerous prospect as both sides are exposed directly to the void. A single misstep could spell death for any individual as the hulls of such space bound constructs often shift and peel under ship-to-ship fire. Such surface operations are called for on desperate occasions as boarding actions or operations intended to cripple specific areas of a ship. Some boarders, desperate enough to bypass internal defences may choose to exit airlocks and brave the dark in order to seek a new route to their objective."
Determine which player will be the Attacker and which player will be the Defenders.
The Attacker is a group of invaders leaping into the hull of the vessel in order to reach other airlocks or vital system. The Attacker deploys first.
The Defender is a response force from the ship's crew taking to the hull of their vessel to stop the machinations of their foes. The Defender deploys second.
Dark of Void
When a unit would take a Pinning test or takes a hit from a Strength 7 or higher weapon, every model in the unit must take an Initiative test. To make an Initiative test, you must roll the D6 and compare it with the model's Initiative (I) characteristic. If the roll is higher than the model's Initiative (I) characteristic. It is slain and removed from play as it is sent flying into the depths of space. If it is lower than the model's Initiative (I) characteristic, nothing happens.
Victory Conditions
Each player scores 1VP for each deployment zone they control at the end of the battle.
The player with the highest number of Victory Points at the end of the game is the winner.
