The Kataphraktoi
Codex: Talons of the Emperor, p. 18
This caste of warriors hails from the time in which the speed and mobility needed to protect the Emperor as he trod from world to world was paramount. Using an array of fast-moving aircraft, jetbikes and jump pack equipped warriors, the warriors of this caste are deployed in formation when speed is of the essence. Specialised and trained extensively even among the Custodian Guards' ranks to take the field with lightning speed using a variety of gear, they blitz down foes, intercepting critical threats and performing reconnaissance for the forces of the other chambers.
