Titan

Core Rules, p. 51

A Titan type unit has the following features:

  • A Movement (M) characteristic of 12".
  • The Relentless Special Rule.
  • The Hammer of Wrath (3) special rule.
  • Titan Type units cannot be Pinned except by rolling on the Vehicle damage chart.
  • Titan type units may shoot with all weapons they are equipped with in the Shooting Phase.
  • Titan type units may perform a Retreat move in the Movement phase and still Shoot and Charge in the Shooting and Charge Phase. A unit with this special rule may move in the Movement phase and fire a weapon with the Ordnance special rule but at -1 to hit. A unit with this type may Retreat in the Movement Phase and shoot at its full Ballistic Skill (BS).
  • Titan Type units use the following Vehicle Damage Chart instead of the standard one found in the Core Rules:

If a weapon scores a successful penetration, roll on the Vehicle damage chart below. If the Weapon has AP2 add 1 to the roll. If the weapon has AP1 add 2 to the roll instead.

D6 Result
1-2 Superficial damage: The attack bounces or only inflicts superficial damage to the vehicle.
3-4 Crew shaken or injured: The shot penetrates the armour and injures crew or shakes them. The Titan must take a leadership test. On a fail, the Titan is pinned.
5-6 Weapon destroyed: A Primary weapon on the Titan is destroyed. The Controlling player of the Titan determines which weapon is destroyed. That weapon cannot be used for the rest of the game unless repaired.
7 Immobilised: The Titan is immobilised and can no longer make move actions in the movement phase or charge rolls in the charge phase unless repaired. If the Titan is already Immobilised, this counts as a weapon destroyed result. If the Titan is Immobilised and the vehicle has no Primary or Secondary weapons left, it is crippled (see below).
8 Critical hit: roll an additional D3.
D3 Result
1 Crippled: The Titan is crippled and a wreck. It remains on the battlefield as Terrain and is no longer considered a unit and counts as having been slain.
2 Explodes: All models within 10" of the Vehicle take 1 Strength 8, AP 5 hit. The Titan is then removed from play.
3 Out of Control: The owner of the Vehicle moves it D6". Move the vehicle that many inches as far as it can go in any direction. All models within 10" of the Vehicle take 1 Strength 8, AP 5 hit. The Titan is then removed from play. A Titan cannot perform the move if it was previously immobilised.
