Hull Breach
"As the blood wars in the stars begin, boarding torpedoes and teleporting troops launch from their own vessel to invade their enemies. These waves of deadly assault troops breach the enemy vessel and carve a blood path forward through desperate defenders who seek to bar their way to the sensitive inner depths of the vessel. The fierce firefights that unravel in these first waves of the boarding action are the bloodiest of them all and most crucial."
Determine which player will be the Attacker and which player will be the Defenders.
The Attacker is seeking to board the vessel and send troops into the inner bowels of the enemy vessel in order to kill or disable the enemy void craft. The Attacker deploys second.
The Defender is attempting to hold the line against the invaders and drive them back and keep them from reaching the inner areas of the vessel. The Defender deploys first.
Enemy Unknown
During deployment, assign each unit in your army a number, written down on a separate piece of paper. Do not reveal what units from your army are assigned to what number. During deployment, place down markers with numbers that correspond to that number. The Marker may perform whatever movements its assigned unit can in the Movement Phase. The first time the Marker would draw visibility to an enemy unit or enemy marker, deploy the assigned unit within 1" of the marker and remove it. The unit operates as normal from then on.
Forwards Assault
The Attacker may not place units in Outflank and may not use the Outflank special rule. The Defender may not place units in Deep Strike and may not use the Deep Strike special rule.
Victory Conditions
The Attacker scores 1VP for each unit that ends the game in the Defender's Deployment Zone or moved off the board from the Defender's Deployment Zone during the battle.
The Defender scores 1VP for each Attacker unit that was slain and removed from play as a casualty.
The player with the highest number of Victory Points at the end of the game is the winner.
