Border Patrol

Core Rules, p. 62

"As wars drag on and borders between the sides become more stable, the opposing armies establish border patrols to ensure that no enemies bypass the front lines and strike into the heart of friendly occupied territory. Often at numerous times, skirmishes have broken out at various crossroads and passes along said borders where one might easily cross into enemy territory. Here dedicated forces clash in combat to either break through or hold the pass."

Determine which player will be the Attacker and which player will be the Defenders. The Attacker is seeking to claim the crossing at the border and gain access to the defender's territory as a possible beachhead for further operations. The Attacker will deploy second. The Defender represents a response and patrol force located near the border tasked with keeping watch over the area either on a mobile patrol or long-distance watch group from another nearby garrison. The Defender will deploy first.

Victory Conditions

At the end of the game, each player scores 1 VP if they control the objective partially in their deployment zone. A player scores 2 Victory Points if they control either of the two center objectives. A player scores 3 Victory Points if they control the objective partially in their opponent's deployment zone. The Winner of the battle is the player with more Victory Points at the end of the game.
